Thrive ABA is dedicated to providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services focusing on behaviors with social and significant importance. We specialise in helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, and behavioral challenges by identifying functional relationships between behavior and environmental events. With expertise in ABA techniques and a strong emphasis on family involvement, our practice offers a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals to thrive. Dr. Eunice Turkson

Dr. Eunice Turkson, a licensed administrator & special educator with over 20 years experience in working with students with disabilities in diverse capacities including mental health. Currently, the Instructional Compliance Coordinator (ICC) for exceptional education with Richmond Public Schools (RPS).
Dr. Turkson serves as the resource/support for staff in working with students with disabilities, offering targeted strategies, modeling effective practices, and using data to inform instruction and intervention. Dr. Turkson shares researched-based instructional strategies, providing additional academic and behavioral support, and Individualized Educational Program (IEP) development.
Dr. Turkson demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of regulations governing special education programs for children with Disabilities in Virginia as well as a comprehensive understanding of the processes of service delivery and instruction.
Dr. Turkson's collaborative approach helps ensure that all students receive the support they need.

Abena A Sando

Abena A. Sando, LCSW-C is an independent licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland. She graduated from University Of Maryland School Of Social Work in 2008. She has worked in the past at Kennedy Krieger Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Center, various outpatient mental health clinics, and schools in the Baltimore region providing mental health services to children and adults with various mental health disabilities.
Abena uses various theoretical models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Insight oriented therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Music Therapy, Play Therapy, and various trauma treatment models to treat her patients.
Abena is skilled at providing the following services to the patients she treats; initial screening, crisis management, complete diagnostic assessment/evaluation, treatment planning, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
Abena collaborates with the various providers of her patients to ensure that the patients she is serving needs are met.
